BOSTON — Four more people in Massachusetts have tested positive for West Nile virus, including a man from Bristol County.

State health officials said Tuesday that the man from Bristol County is in his 60's and that he is hospitalized. They have not released which community in the county he is from, nor his name.

The health department also said that other new cases of West Nile include a man n his 40's from Middlesex County, who is hospitalized, a woman in her 20's from Essex County, who has been released from a hospital, and a woman in her 80's from Suffolk County who has also been released from a hospital.

According to the Massachusetts Health Department, 9 human cases have been reported this year. In 2017, there were a total of six cases statewide.
