The NFL announced its Pro Bowl rosters for both conferences, Tuesday, and four New England Patriots were named to the AFC team.

Headlining the group of Patriots is the team's only offensive player named to the team, quarterback Tom Brady. The selection marks the 11th time the future Hall-of-Famer has been named to the game, which is a tops among all active players.

After missing the first four games of the season due to his bogus Deflategate suspension, Brady has been nothing short of brilliant in his return. Over 10 games, the 39-year-old has completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 3,064 yards. He's also thrown 22 touchdowns and a league-low two interceptions, while boasting a 109.7 quarterback rating.

The Pats will also send two defenders to the game, as inside linebacker Dont'a Hightower and safety Devin McCourty were also selected to play for the AFC squad.

For Hightower, it marks the first time in his solid career that he's been named to the team. In 12 games, the fifth year pro has compiled 64 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks. He's also added a safety and a forced fumble.

McCourty has been named to his third Pro Bowl team, thanks to his 70 tackles, interception and fumble recovery in 14 games so far.

New England's final Pro Bowl player is the always steady special teams star and captain Matthew Slater. The nine year veteran was selected to his sixth consecutive game, as he continues to warrant and receive praise for his tremendous abilities across multiple special teams units. The core special teamer has been double covered on punt and kick teams continuously this season.

With sights set on another trip to the Super Bowl and long postseason run, don't expect any of the four guys to actually make an appearance at the game, though it is a nice honor to be recognized for.
