Brady Calls Montana G.O.A.T, Says He Has “More To Prove”

There's a pretty large consensus, at least in New England, that Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady is one of, if not, the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL. Don't tell that to Brady, himself, though. 

Prior to yesterday's Super Bowl, Brady joined Westwood One Radio's Jim Grey for a quick interview. Grey got around to asking Brady about his thoughts on where he stands among the game's best quarterbacks and the future Hall-of-Famer was as modest as could be.

"That is a helluva question and I wouldn't put myself in there," Brady said.

Brady went on to say that he considers himself the type of guy that has to prepare hard to succeed from week to week and that he has to think his way through each game, as opposed to other guys that make it look so easy.

He then gave his opinion on who the top quarterback of all time is, in his mind.

"When you look at me being a fan of Joe Montana; nobody ever did it better than Joe Montana. In a way, he was like the Michael Jordan of football. The style and the grace and the beauty of what Joe's style was, it never looked hard for Joe."

As a fan, who has been lucky enough to watch Brady play throughout his entire career and has seen every other team in the league cycle through at least a few different quarterbacks over that same time period, I can say with strong confidence that Brady is in fact one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. To take it a step further, I think he's the G.O.A.T.
