Boston’s Highest-Paid Athletes Listed
The list of Boston's highest-paid athletes was just released by the Boston Business Journal. Red Sox pitcher John Lackey is at the top, pulling in nearly $16 million in 2013. Slugger David Ortiz takes second with a $14.5 millionsalary.
Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady comes in third with nearly $14 million in compensation this year.
So how do Boston's highest paid compared to the top earners in the world? Forbe's list that came out a few weeks ago and puts Tiger Woods at the top as a top earner with a staggering $78 million - including endorsement deals and sponsorship. Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers made $27 million before any deals came into play.
