Boston Police Enforcing Bicycle Traffic Rules

Boston police are cracking down on bicyclists breaking the law.

They issued 40 tickets yesterday at one particular intersection, busting cyclists for running red lights, illegal right turns, and not signaling. However, the citations also came with a free helmet and rear blinking light.

Police say they're finding a majority of fatal crashes are a result of bicyclist error and are trying to educate bicyclists about the importance of safety.
