Boston is keeping things interesting with its new winter art exhibit involving a large inflatable by the name of Mr. Pink.

We all know the winter months can be a little boring and cold. In Boston, however, they are keeping things interesting with a Winteractive Art Installation that runs from January 15 through March.

People have noticed these massive pink inflatables in the most random of locations: wedged in between buildings, hanging on the side of buildings and sitting on top of roofs. It's definitely raised some eyebrows and is making people smile.

"Mr. Pink" is what they're calling these giant pink inflatables that were created and perfectly placed by an artist named Philippe Katerine from Paris, France. The French call Mr. Pink Monsieur Rose.

This is year two of what the Downtown Boston Alliance calls the "Winteractive." Last year, the inaugural year, they attracted just over 600,000 patrons to the artwork that was sprinkled throughout downtown Boston.

Michael Nichols, the president of the Downtown Boston Alliance said, “Based on the reaction from visitors, and from those who shared photos and discussed Winteractive online, the exhibition proved to be the ideal winter outing for anyone looking to explore our beautiful city.”

Mr Pink is just one part of the entire WinterActive outdoor exhibit. There will be 18 different locations around the city with features from several different artists from across the globe.

The best part is all of this art can be enjoyed free of cost. Just throw on a warm jacket and walk around the city.
