Blood Trail Leads New Bedford Police to Shooting Victim
A shooting in the South End of New Bedford has injured one man.
New Bedford Police say they responded to the 100 block of Division Street after the ShotSpotter system was activated around 11pm. Four shell casings were found on the street.
Officers followed a trail of blood to a second floor apartment where they found a 28-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the hip area. The man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
