Great talents like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson were minted by the music competition show that dominated television in the 2000s, American Idol. The South Coast has had a good showing on these programs, like Jillian Jensen and Samantha Johnson on America's Got Talent, among others, and if you think you're ready to take it to the next level, your chance to try out for the revival of American Idol is coming to Boston soon.

Katy Perry, new judge for the upcoming season and The American Idol crew has announced the open auditions. Warm up your voices because the bus is scheduled to come to Boston on Friday, September 8, 2017. Stay tuned right here for the exact location and time the judges will begin hearing auditions. Hopefuls between the ages of 15 and 28 can create an audition profile on the show's website, AmericanIdol.com.

There are two ways to audition-either submit a video to the website or participate in the live auditions. American Idol returns on ABC in 2018 and Ryan Seacrest will come back to host the revival.
