Baseball and Beer

The umpire will be shouting "play ball" soon at New Bedford's Paul White field. What goes better than baseball, hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts and a nice cold one.

As a way to attract more fans and additional revenue, the Bay Sox want to sell beer at all home games. The team's President, Pat O'Connor, speaks on Brian's Beat.

The New Bedford School Committee actually voted to give a little of their baseball turf over to the city in order to allow beer sales to flow. As you know, Massachusetts law forbids alcohol on school property.
