Imagine you are living in a city whose police department may have done something awful and has been ordered to stand by and allow for a riot to ensue where buildings are burnt to the ground, people beaten as they are discovered by the hordes of rioters, homes and stores invaded, property destroyed and looted.

Now the riot is on your street and you are inside your home with your wife and kids. The front door is hit so hard you jump out of your chair, kids screaming and wife crying. A brick comes through your picture window, as the door is kicked in. 3,4 as many as 30 rioting youths are trying to enter your home. You unlock your box above your kitchen cabinet to get your only means to defend life & property; your 9mm semi automatic handgun.

But wait, the liberal Democrats had taken it away over a year ago when they banned all firearms in the homes of the American citizen. They had won the debate and controlled both houses of congress and the White House and had finally achieved enough liberal judiciary appointments in the Supreme Court to ban all guns owned by anyone not employed in law enforcement.

The last thing you remember as you are pummeled is your wife and daughter being dragged away up the stairs to the bedrooms, your son beaten and you black out....

This is not wild fantasy, this is a realistic scenario that liberals want you to have to face if and when that time comes where law enforcement decides to observe instead of serve.  Let’s look at some quotes to qualify my concern.

“The only way to discourage the gun culture is to remove the guns from the hands and shoulders of people who are not in the law enforcement business.” - New York Times

“You know I don't believe in people owning guns, only the police and military. And I'm going to do everything I can to disarm this state.” - Michael Dukakis

“Banning guns is an idea whose time has come.” - Joseph Biden as US Senator (D-DE) Nov 18, 1993

“For target shooting, that's okay. Get a license and go to the range. For defense of the home, that's why we have police departments. “ - James Brady Parade Magazine 1994-06-26

“I don't think there is a Second Amendment right to own a gun.” - James Carville

“We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans to own handguns and rifles that we are unable to think clearly about reality.” - Bill Clinton

“If it was up to me, no one but law enforcement officers would own handguns - Richard Daley  -Chicago Mayor 1998-11-13

The National Guard fulfills the militia mentioned in the Second Amendment. Citizens no longer need to protect the states or themselves. - Dianne Feinstein U.S. Senator (D-CA)

“In fact, only police, soldiers and, maybe, licensed target ranges should have handguns. No one else needs one. And the only way to do that is to change the Constitution.” Michael Gartner former president of NBC News

“I would like to dispute that. Truthfully. I know it's an amendment. I know it's in the Constitution. But you know what? Enough! I would like to say, I think there should be a law -- and I know this is extreme -- that no one can have a gun in the U.S. If you have a gun, you go to jail. Only the police should have guns.” - Rosie O'Donnell

Please remember, the same liberals call for the ban on handguns and then assault rifles, concealed weapons permits but it all depends on current affairs when they decide to try to grab each particular weapon. Our liberty to defend ourselves is under attack and it is time to hold people accountable.

We don’t need some fantastic conspiracy theories about population control, insurrections etc. to imagine a government’s plan to have our tax paid police forces stand down and allow for enormous violent crime waves to fall of their own momentum.  Thank God (not government) that we know of no such scenario as the one I provided in the beginning of this column, but that wasn’t by careful planning by Mayor “How’s my hair?” Blake.  In fact she openly acknowledged the plan to allow for loss. YOU and your property are an acceptable loss in very real examples such as the riots we are witnessing in Baltimore, Maryland. The only colors that matter here in ALL of our right to bear arms are red, white & blue.
