NEW BEDFORD — The results of an autopsy and toxicology are pending for a man's body found last week in a New Bedford park, according to a spokesperson for the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.

The D.A.'s office stated that the 35-year-old homeless man was found dead on Thursday afternoon in Riverside Park.

His body showed no obvious signs of trauma, according to the spokesperson.

Authorities are treating the incident as an unattended death, the office noted — meaning the man likely died alone.
