Aspiring New Bedford Rapper Arrested Twice in 24 Hours
NEW BEDFORD - An aspiring rapper from New Bedford that was arrested Wednesday for an unarmed robbery has been arrested again.
New Bedford Police say an investigation into two larcenies on May 18 and 19 at Mi Antojos Mexican Restaraunt on Rivet Street led them to 18-year-old Brad Lourenco as the perpetrator. Police say Lourenco stole two bottles of Silver Patrone and six bottles of Mexican soda in the incidents.
Lourenco was arrested early Thursday afternoon and charged with two counts of larceny from a building.
Lourenco had been arrested less than 24 hours earlier in connection to an unarmed robbery on Rivet Street Wednesday night. He was arraigned on the charge Thursday in New Bedford District Court, and was released on personal recognizance by Judge James McGovern.
