
Apparent Suicide Reported at Bristol County House of Correction
A 31-year-old Fall River woman apparently committed suicide Wednesday at the House of Correction in Dartmouth.
According to the Herald News, the woman apparently hanged herself. Her body was found by a court officer making her rounds.
She was transported to St. Luke's Hospital where she died, according to Sheriff Thomas Hodgson.
The woman was being held for a probation violation for assault and battery on a person over 60, plus other assault and battery charges.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office is investigating.
