Apparent Fatal Overdose Claims 32-Year-Old New Bedford Man

NEW BEDFORD — A 32-year-old New Bedford died for a potential heroin overdose in a home on the 200 block of Purchase Street Wednesday.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, the man was found deceased in the bathroom by his girlfriend at around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The DA's Office says the cause of death appears to have been a heroin overdose, but a toxicology report is pending.
