NEW BEDFORD — Authorities are investigating another shooting in New Bedford that occurred in the city’s south end Monday night.

New Bedford Police have confirmed shots were fired at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 40-block of McGurk Street. Police say the Shot Spotter was alerted to the gun activity in the neighborhood.

No injuries were sustained in the shooting, though unknown property damage was reported.

New Bedford Police continue to investigate this most recent shooting along with other recent shootings, including a shooting on Ruth Street and Purchase Street. Additional arrests are expected in those incidents.

Detectives arrested 32-year-old Christopher Adamides last week in connection to the Purchase Street shooting.
