The SouthCoast is about to get a lot funnier.

The star-studded SouthCoast Comedy Series kicks off at White’s of Westport next Friday, April 12 with one of today’s hottest comedians, Tom Cotter.

His high energy, rapid-fire style of comedy leaves audiences clutching their sides and rolling in the aisles.

Recently, Cotter became the first comedian to ever reach the finals of NBC’s America’s Got Talent. His runner-up finish on the show has catapulted him to the comedic stratosphere.

He has become a familiar face on television shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, The Today Show and his own series, Two Funny, on The Women’s Entertainment Network.

Cotter is also no stranger to the New England area; he was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island and cut his comedy teeth in the legendary comedy clubs of Boston. So while he’s been making audiences laugh across the country and around the world, he’s “one of us” at heart, making him the perfect comedian to launch the SouthCoast Comedy Series on Friday, April 12.

Also joining Tom Cotter for Lees & Clements’ Market Night on April 12 is the hilarious Tony V. Tony is a Boston comedy legend who you’ve seen on shows like Seinfeld and in films like Celtic Pride and Housesitter.

And don’t miss all the other great comedians coming as part of the series in the coming weeks, including Lenny Clarke, Gilbert Gottfried, Nick DiPaolo, and Pablo Francisco.

The SouthCoast Comedy Series, presented by Carl's Collision Center and Line-X, is a joint production of The Comedy Connection and RocJo Productions.
