Charges are being filed against a Westport woman police say was on drugs when she crashed her car in New Bedford.

Police say 32-year-old Jessica Baulier of Westport crashed her Hyundai Sonata into a tree on Robert Street near the Elizabeth Carter Brooks Elementary School around 3pm Tuesday. The school's regular dismissal time is 2:30pm.

New Bedford firefighters responding to the scene administered Narcan, and Baulier was transported to St. Luke's Hospital. She did not sustain any injuries in the crash.

Police found evidence of drug use in the car.

Both the car and the tree sustained minor damage.

Baulier is charged with operating under the influence of drugs, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
