
Alleged Meth Dealer with Delivery Service Arrested in New Bedford
The New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit this week wrapped up an investigation into a local illegal drug delivery service with the arrest of a city man.
Rodney Coleman, 38, was arrested after police executed a search of his apartment at 56 Durfee St. The warrant was executed shortly before 5 p.m. on Thursday. Police say they confiscated approximately 39 grams of methamphetamine, over nine grams of fentanyl, three suboxone strips, and $132 in cash.
Coleman was charged with trafficking methamphetamine in excess of 36 grams, distribution of a Class A substance, and possession of a Class B substance.
Coleman was due to be arraigned today in Third District Court. New Bedford Police Detective Timothy Soares led the investigation.
