Acushnet Man Charged With Sexual Assaults

An Acushnet man has been charged with sexually assaulting two people earlier this year durIng a party in the suspect's house-trailer on Keene Road.

Acushnet Police obtained a warrant and arrested 50 year old Peter Vierkant at his place of employment in New Bedford.

Police say he's accused of fondling the breasts and buttocks of a 19 year old woman, and touching the groin area of a 19 year old man last June.

New Bedford Police were also investigating Vierkant in connection with a similar incident in the city.

He was scheduled for arraignment Friday in New Bedford District Court.
