Acushnet Lions Club Warns Of Phone Scam

The Acushnet Lions Club is warning the public about a phone scam.

The club posted a notice on their Facebook page saying they were made aware that someone, claiming to be from their organization, was calling people asking for donations.

However, the club said they don't solicit donations over the phone

They say if you do get a phone call claiming to be from the Acushnet Lions Club and seeking a donation, consider it a scam and hang up.

They say they are looking to resolve the problem and apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.
