Former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been sued by the family of a Boston man he's accused of killing. The Fall-River Herald-News reports the wrongful death lawsuit was filed this week in Bristol County Superior Court.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the June shooting death of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-professional football player.

The lawsuit does not specify what the Lloyd estate is seeking in compensatory and punitive damages, but the estate is asking for a restraining order to prohibit the New England Patriots from paying out more than $3 million that Hernandez is believed to be owed from his contract.
