
Police Search For Suspect in 7-11 Robbery
New Bedford Police are investigating after an early morning convenience store robbery.
Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that at around 3:20 a.m. Monday a man entered the 7-11 at 1499 Acushnet Avenue and demanded money from the register.
The suspect implied he had a gun in his waistband but no weapon was ever shown.
He then fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash, leaving the clerk unharmed.
The suspect is described as a 6'2 Spanish speaking man with a mustache, who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a winter hat pulled down to his eyes.
