46th Annual Sea Lab Commencement

The Marine Science Education Summer Program held it's 46th annual commencement ceremony and open house Friday morning.

Elizabeth Sylvia has been in the program for six years and says it's opened her eyes to a career in marine sciences...

Over 20 scholarship winners were awarded for their academic achievements and other certificates and awards were handed out during the ceremony.

Local elected officials were in attendance as well as keynote speaker Dr. David Gallo. The Director of Special Projects at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution spoke about the importance of marine education in today's world.
