Hundreds of walkers are expected to gather at Fort Taber park this Sunday, in honor of two local women.

The Third Annual Sharon's Walk commences Sunday morning, in memory of former Fun107 co-host Sharon Fogaren, and her mother, Elaine.

Sharon's father, Al Fogaren appeared on WBSM'S morning show, and says Sharon became deeply involved in cancer awareness work after her mother passed away from breast cancer.

Sharon passed away in 2009 at the age of 44, and was unable to complete her dream of hosting a walk in honor of her mother.

That dream has been realized thanks to a collaboration between Fun107 and Southcoast Hospitals Group with Sharon's Walk, now in it's third year.

The walk to raise awareness and money for cancer research begins at 11am at Fort Taber, with check-in beginning at 9am.
