I just have no idea where that comes from. Anyway, so um it's interesting the um the Bedford Light had a uh piece today, Grace Ferguson about um South Coast Rail. And on one hand, the state is going to give you a break in terms of rates, but on the other hand, they're going to reduce the schedule from New Bedford Fall River. Grace writes, "Taking the commuter rail from the south coast to Boston will be much more affordable this summer thanks to fair promotions the MBTA is running from June through August, but train service will be limited for New Bedford riders for nearly a month because of the FIFA World Cup. because the whole world rises and sets around the FIFA World Cup, right? Um, the commuter rail will be free to ride on Fridays all summer. Monthly passes are half off and monthly passholders can also bring a companion for just a dollar on the weekends. State transportation officials say they are offering the fair promotions which apply on all regular commuter rail lines in anticipation of a busy summer travel season with the World Cup and the nation's 250th anniversary coming up. You can find all the details on the MBTA's summer promotions page, their website. This summer, it's especially important to doublech checkck the timetables for any days you plan to travel because the World Cup will have impacts across the commuter rail network. What if you're like me who doesn't give a damn about the World Cup? I mean, you know, why should we? I don't know. The Fall River New Bedford line will follow a reduced schedule from June 8th to July 12th. with a separate reduced schedule for match days. June 13, 14, 16, 19, 23rd, 26, and 29, and then again on July 9th. There will be no shuttle trains to fill in south of East Tun. So, if you want to take the New Bedford uh train to Boston, um you got to drive to East Hatton to do it. Apparently, on the bright side, a monthly M ticket pass between New Bedford and Boston is normally $378, but during the promotion, that pass is only $189. you would probably need to take 16 weekday round trips a month to make that monthly pass worth the price. This summer, you'll break even on a monthly pass after just uh eight weekday round trips. Remember last week before we um wrapped up for the week, I told you about a trans period pride event that was going to take place at the Boston Public Library. Well, it has been cancelled. The event, from what I can tell, has not been cancelled. It's just Boston Public Library says, uh, you can't have it here. Mass Daily News writes, "The Boston Public Library has cancelled its June 17th booking of the Trans Period Pride event, partially funded by Boston Mayor Michelle Woos nearly $1 million a year office of LGBTQIA25 plus or is that 2S? I think it's LGBTQ A2S plus advancement program. Uh Mass Daily News says the event listing for the Copley branch now carries the notice. This event is cancelled with no reason given. The library has not said publicly whether the call was its own or made at the organizer's request. The Boston Public Libraryies event listing for the Trans Period Pride program now marked. This event is cancelled. the Boston Public Libraryies McKim Building at CPPley uh Square, the venue that was to host the trans per uh period pride event on June 17th. Ain't going to happen there. Now, Mass, the lead sponsor, is not formally cancelled. The event still is listed on the organization's own website for June 17 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., but the location field is now blank and no new venue has been announced. Basnau's flyer pitched a conscientious raising or a conscious conscience raising Jesus it's Monday a conscious raising discussion on trans menrators with a free catered dinner and free period underwear for attendees. story went viral. Sasha Goodfriend, executive director of Mass Now, called critics of the event extremist voices. Extremist voices. if you um were opposed to spending taxpayer money money on a um trans period pride event catered with free underwear being handed out to the trans dudes. Um if you oppose that, you're an extremist voice according to the organizers. Mayor Michelle Woo and her office partnered with the nonprofit out newcomers to offer LGBTQ plus migrants up to $500 in wellness vouchers for yoga, massage, and gym memberships. Taxpayer money. It's for migrants. $500 in wellness vouchers. Right. That program was withdrawn after um Mass Daily News reporting went national. Woo's office called it inappropriate. Now, uh it was reported in the news over the weekend that millions of families that are eligible have not applied for it. I mean, uh, if your child was born this year in 26, they're the government is going to put $1,000 in the savings account for that kid. If if your child is under 11, they're going to start the account, but only with $250. Uh uh and then a family members can contribute up to $5,000 a year and an employer can give an uh an employees child up to 2500. And you know, I wonder what would prevent families that qualify for this not apply for it. Uh and the only thing I can come up with is that they hate Trump. I guess I don't know. Apparently, it's been quite um quite successful so far. I guess millions and millions of people have applied for it and I I guess information was was being given out at tax time. Well, they they said that uh uh it's available to apply now. Yeah. But they're but they're saying that you you are correct. Uh millions have applied. But millions that do qualify haven't applied, right? That's [clears throat] my my point and uh you would think that they will be uh overloading those applications. Yeah, sure. I mean this this is one of the best things things going I I don't know because if it's a called Trump account families don't want to apply for it but man to deny your kid $1,000. Yeah. No, that that's a lot of hate. That that is crazy. And I don't know. I mean maybe there's a little bit of people just not knowing about it. Maybe there's a lot of what you just said, Trump derangement syndrome because it has Trump's name on it. You know, people uh you know, don't want to do it. Um I don't know. But I mean, anytime you can get money set aside for your kids' future, grab it. Yeah, definitely. And uh you know, like how many times grandparents give stupid gifts to grandkids, right? Yeah. And instead of spending that money on a dumb gift that they're going to throw away two weeks, you know, they could put into that account, you know, $200 or $300 uh up to uh 5,000 per year. And when they estimate that this when the kid is 18 who have way over $100,000 to start his life, you know. Yeah. Uh so I just don't understand the millions. Uh I know millions have applied, but millions that are eligible have not. And uh you know the Dell company is they want to sign up 26 million kids under 11 and they just not signing up. I mean you know he's giving out his own pocket. I believe he's giving like $6 billion uh toward this end. He wants to give every child in America $250 uh dollars and uh people are not applying for it. I just find it outstanding that that will be, you know, the the report will be saying that, you know. Yeah. And, you know, it's not hard for people to find out more information about it. All you got to do is go on like Google and just write in uh, you know, Trump accounts and and do a search on it and it'll tell you how to find it. Um, you know, and you and grandparents, I guess grandparents, right? You mentioned grandparents can uh Yeah. Because once once the account is set up, the grandparents could contribute to it. Yeah. Right. To it directly. You know what I mean? Because they'll give you an account number. Yeah. And you donated to it toward it. It's a it's a wonderful program. Yeah. Uh you know, and uh I just wish more people Maybe it's that people don't know about it. I I don't know. It's been in every news and media all over the place. You know what I mean? All you have to do is go to trumpaccounts.gov and you can find out there. That's the official uh maybe maybe I don't know because I'm understanding that you could do the application online. Is it not like you have to go to an office or anything like that? I don't know. It has all of the details. I've got it right in front of me here on Trumpacounts.gov. It's Trump with a capital T and accounts with a capital A.gov and it gives all of the instructions. is the official Trump accounts page and uh Trump accounts jumpstart the American dream and it says here download the app and then there's a uh a tax form 4547 and there's a link right to it um and they said $1,000 will be added to um the child's account as early as July 4th and uh you get $1,000 for every American child born between January 1 of last year in December 31st of uh 2028. Um fully in your child's name and you are the sole custodian until they turn 18. Uh no contributions necessary, but you can deposit up to $5,000 per year to maximize the growth. And um yeah, looks fairly about being 11 years old and under getting the $250 from the Del family. What was that again? I'm sorry. Does it mention there about $250 for 11 year old kids and under? I'm sure it does. Families going to Yeah, I'm sure it does. This launches on July 4th of this year, by the way. Um, but it has it has everything here. So, um, yeah, I mean, I'm just u scrolling down the the website. I'm sure it has all of that in there. Um, at 18, the Trump account is all theirs. uh they're free to continue letting it grow or they can uh withdraw funds right away to use for things like education or a home uh with all the tax advantages of a traditional IRA. Um so yeah, it talks about how it grows 15,000. Here we go. 15 uh,000 contributing zero zero dollars a year. It comes out to 50. If you if you contribute nothing, you get 15,000. If you contribute $250 a year, you get $51,000. If you contribute $5,000 a year, you get $742,000. Okay, here we go. Yeah. And then we got the additional support. This is what you were talking about. Additional support from these generous companies and philanthropists, um, Michael and Susan Dell and Ray and Barbara Dalio. And um so it goes on to explain um you know what you can get from them as well. So I mean anybody that's listening and you got a child that's born in that time period between January 1 of 25 and December 20 31 of 28 um you should get right to this website immediately. I mean this is a a way to get some money for your kid. Yeah. Hopefully uh this conversation will wake up some families here. You mean let's hope so. Let's get going. You know, that's $1,000, man. Well, that's a,000 to start. Yeah. And again, even if you if you add nothing, if you add nothing, it it turns into 15,000 by the time the kid turns 18. So, um you know, it's $5,000 over the course of a year is not a lot of money. If you add $5,000 over the course of a year, that turns into 750 742,000 uh by the time your kid turns 18. That's a lot of money. Get your kid started, right? Yeah. It would have been nice to hear that uh uh we're sorry but we ran out of uh applications because so many people are applying for it. Yeah. Former uh well-known Harvard law professor. Yeah. And he was recently talking about, you know, that he left the Democratic party. Yes. Alan Dishwitz. Y cuz uh to him they've become so extreme. It's he he said the party's in it's unrecognizable. He says, "Today's Democratic Party is the party of radicalized college students, radical university professors and faculties, and universities have become propaganda mills. So you have these kids that going they're using them as cannon father to be in these it's basically insurrection to clash with police vandalize government property even you know even start assing fires violence to push the the communist CCP funded radical left that's this is what then they use college univers university campuses to recruit them through whether it's sororities or fraternities or whatever under the guise of uh grassroots uh groups that they they label themselves as, but they're funded by uh the CCP and people like Soros and many others. So, they figure, you know, to go back again and do what they did back uh when they were young and they're trying to brainwash the uh the younger the younger generation to to do the same thing. I don't know what made me think of that, but um see I mentioned the um trans event at Boston, trans period pride event at Boston where they were going to give a you know free underwear and free food on the taxpayers canled due to the the backlash. Um, but according to the Boston Herald today, the Boston Public Library is still going forward with a series of drag queen story hours for families in celebration of Pride Month, Catholic Action League of Massachusetts, railing against the idea. CJ Doyle, who's the executive director of the Independent Catholic Advocacy Group, said he fears that the scheduled events are a demonic assault on the innocence of children who are being exploited to mainstream the sexual deviency of transvestites. I mean, you can't find an argument there because that's exactly what sponsors of this stuff say it's for, right? It's about acceptance. It's about exposing children to this so that they are educated about it and are not afraid of it. They grow up with it. So that's exactly what CJ Doyle said. Now you may um have your opinion about whether you think it's deviency or not. I think it's deviant anytime you introduce anything sexual to children uh of that age. But that's my view and CJ Doyle's view as well. But they're trying to mainstream it. That's exactly what mainstreaming is. Make it normal. And that's what Michelle Woo and her Boston Public Library is trying to do with all of this. Mainstream it. Roughly 19 story hours is scheduled in June according to the Boston Public Library calendar with the first slated at well, it was supposed to be 10:30 today. this morning. The events primarily target children ages five and under. Now, that's an appropriate age for um crossdressing men to get on the floor with kids, right? Drag queens five and under. [sighs and gasps] Children and families are invited to come and celebrate Pride Month with drag queen M. Patty for a fun-filled story hour of songs, stories, and more. According to an advertisement for the event on June 9, the Boston Public Library is set to host bilingual drag story time with just JP and Jamaica Plane. That'll be for kids uh age three and up with an adult. Critics of drag queen story times argue that the events are inappropriate for children and don't belong in public settings because of concerns around sexualization and grooming. It's a freak show. It's a freak show. But the freaks in the freak show think that they are normal and they think they have every right in the world to expose your kids to this and groom your kids into thinking this is normal. Having such depraved events hosted by public libraries, Doyle said in a statement, sends a clear message to anyone who holds traditional moral beliefs, faithful Catholics, evangelical Protestants, Orthodox, Jews, and others. That they are now secondass citizens in Boston. Their views and the values are not only irrelevant to the city of Boston, Doyle added, but apparently are so bigoted that they must be publicly repudiated at taxpayerup supported institutions. [clears throat] Hey Barry, uh a quick comment about commuter rail [clears throat] and there was a published article about it some time ago, but the the gist of it was uh that that the south coast in particular, southeastern Massachusetts, with the extension of rail service from Bedford and Fall River to Cartley Junction and Taton and then over to Middbor up to Brockton. this person who wrote this, I wish I could find it. Uh he said instead of instead of pushing this let's go to Boston thing, they should be running commuter service like you know every half hour or every you know very frequently between New Bedford and Taton between Taton and Fall River and back and forth and and hook up this giant economic and educational uh engine in southeastern Massachusetts. You got UMass Dartmouth, you got Bridgewater State University, and you've got huge pools of of uh unskilled labor available for people who would be doing mass production from so-called factory jobs. And um that but it's very difficult if you can't afford your own car and then cars because of insurance and gasoline off and on depending on what's happening in the world. But insurance costs for cars, the cost of maintaining a car as well, particularly older model ones that need more frequent repairs. That that's that would put a job for somebody in Fall River in looking for a a position in Taton or over in Brockton or, you know, basically this southeastern corridor. Well, you but you can do that with South Coast Rail. South Coast Rail stops in Taton. It stops in Brockton. A couple of different stops in Brockton. Um, and it stops all the way up. Well, Brock Brockton has has three stops, but what this person said is you should be going up to Brockton and then back to Taton and then back to Fall River, then up to Taton, then back to and and eliminate PE because right now that thing is catering to an upper income, upper level education person who's basically, you know, because it's a long commute, but but at the end of the commute there's a very highpaying job. if you've got that skill set. But there's lots of people that I could I think that if you want to bring back manufacturing, bring back the South Coast, you would be running basically every half hour back and forth to Taton Fall River, back and forth Taunt to Bedford, back and forth Taunt to to to just to Bridgewwater. and and and they said you should have a whole set of twocar trains that basically sort of like uh commute bus service [clears throat] between the cities that that's low cost and and isn't intended to get you to Boston ever that if you want to go to Boston you got to get up early in the morning. But where where are these where are these jobs going to come from now? Well, the jobs the jobs would come here if they thought the labor pool was there. But the labor pool is here. They left they left the they left a very big and and and talented labor pool to go elsewhere. Well, I I think I would say by way of you know response is that in up here in Rain where we've got 495 going through us, we got 24 going through us. We we're 10 minutes from 95. We're 20 minutes from 128 in Brainree. uh that that there would be a prim people who are looking for manufacturing look in areas where they can get after they've made what they made onto a transportation system that'll get it out and about throughout the region and the country. But the labor pool if it's not there and if if if it's not there or can't get to the job in in Taton for example where they've got a huge industrial park that and and lots of open available space the landbased distribution of finished product is one thing the transportation by mass transit public transportation like commuter rail shouldn't be focused just on getting you from Bedford to Boston the real job should be the real focus emphasis should be a twocar train that runs back and forth every half hour. So that you you know you if you got to be at work at 7:00, you can take the 6 6:31. And if you when you get out of work at 5:00, you can take the 5:31 home and uh and not have to add that extra hour and a half just to get Nobody's going to Nobody's going to commute two hours one way for a minimum wage job, but they might commute 20 minutes or half an hour if the transportation system was there and they could do it. All right, but listen, a topic for another time. I will say this about uh the uh story hours and things. I think any public discussion of sexuality makes people uncomfortable and and the worst thing you can do is expose children to something through a public venue that is sexually oriented or themed drag queen story hours for example. Well, what kind of person in their right mind brings their 5-year-old child to play on the floor with a drag queen anyway? I mean, you got to be you got to be completely out of your mind to do that. Oh, I couldn't agree with you more, but I think the thing of it is is that when you do drag drag queen story, if you said to me there was a story hour and there was a person in character as Ben Franklin or there was a person in character as Sophie Tucker, that'd be one thing. But when you say it's a drag queen story hour, you are sexualizing something towards children. And that's just wrong. No, I agree with you 100%. I got hold of you there, my friend. 5089960500. You're just not going to see Martina McBride and uh and the people that were invited to play there. Talk about ingrates. They get hired and they're offered money to pay and then they cancel out. But there'll be other entertainment that will take the place. It might not even be their personal views on it. It might be the the feared backlash if they show up to these things. Well, Martina McBride's played Barack Obama events before. So, um, you know, there are some people in music. I once did an interview with Reeba McIntyre years ago and you know I asked her about politics because everybody was getting into politics. She said you'll never find out who I'm supporting because I don't tell you. So I had people work too hard all year long uh to save up to go to a concert to sit there and to be you know lectured about politics. My politics don't matter you know. Um so there are people out there who are smart enough not to get involved in that kind of stuff. Um and then there's the Dixie Chicks, you I mean, they go to London and badmouth their country.
