I have written and discussed the importance of removing Confederate statues from public lands because they were traitors. Remove all celebrations of treason.

Symbols are important to a culture. There is no reason for a culture to celebrate its enemies. America has reached an important moment – we are taking treason and individuals who advocate treason seriously. The leaders of the Confederacy went to war with the United States of America and they lost. Good destroyed evil and the advocates of evil don't deserve statues on public lands.

But what about the other traitors? The traitors who waged war under the Confederate flag are long gone. The statues should come down, but there isn't a threat from the dead traitors looming over parks in some southern states. What about the traitors who are still around and operating today? What about the traitors who have only recently passed away?

There is a public library in Massachusetts that is named in honor of a person who renounced their American citizenship. That same person joined an organization dedicated to the advancement of the Soviet Union and the destruction of the United States of America. That person wrote a groveling tribute to the murderous dictator Josef Stalin. Why should that traitor have a taxpayer-supported library dedicated in their honor?

There are charities and foundations that use American taxpayer's dollars and spend every waking hour supporting traitors who betrayed our country to support the Soviet Union and other communist countries. Those individuals and organizations are currently undermining our country, unlike the hunks of granite in parks.

What about the members of Congress who have raised money for publications and organizations that advocate the overthrow of our Republic? What about the members of Congress who have advocated on behave of convicted traitors?

Your tax dollars likely have purchased books advocating and celebrating treason and that material was used to brainwash your children.

Statues to dead traitors should be removed, but that is just the start.
