The New Bedford Memorial Day Parade may have been canceled, but the sacrifices made by veterans were still remembered during a brief ceremony at Clasky Common Park Monday afternoon.

Local residents, clergy and elected officials gathered at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ Sunday evening for the City of New Bedford Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Remembrance & Community Program.

Hard to believe it's been 11 years now, since America was attacked!  Eleven years since the terrorists tried to destroy our country.  I will always remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news.
