Former Mattapoisett Police Chief Mary Lyons was found not guilty Friday in Falmouth District Court of drunk driving charges, following her arrest last July.
The former Chief of Police in Mattapoisett is heading to trial on drunk driving charges, after a trial date was set during a pre-trial conference on Thursday.
Guilty or innocent of drunk driving, Mattapoisett PD Chief Mary Lyons allegedly displayed poor judgment and bad behavior during her arrest and should step down.
Mass. State Police treated Chief Mary Lyons as any other OUI suspect would have been treated. New Bedford Police seemed to treat Hugh Dunn more favorably.
