The Massachusetts Department of Health has notified New Bedford of the finding of West Nile Virus in a mosquito taken near the New Bedford Business Park.
Dr. Brenda Weis, Director of the Health Department for the City of New Bedford, is stepping down from her position, WBSM News has learned.
Sources tell WBSM News that Weis will relinquish her position sometime in the next two weeks.
