Building mental health into emergency responses is finally getting the attention it needs, while at the same time, police officers' mental health support system comes up short.

Saturday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., there will be a fundraiser remembering George Heath's life at Greasy Luck in New Bedford.

Rosemary would like to keep this fundraiser in the Greater New Bedford area.

George Heath, a teacher at Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech, was killed at the Taunton Bertucci's in 2016. His seat that night is being donated to his widow, Rosemary.
