A Seekonk man is facing larceny charges following his arrest by Westport Police.

Detective Jeffrey Majewski says 28 year old Patrick Kane was arrested Tuesday.

Police say he conducted a fund-raising drive in Westport in 2013, and kept the "scans" of personal checks he received.  According to Police, Kane changed the dates on those checks from 2013 to 2015 and redeposited them into his business account.  Majewski says those checks totaled nearly $5,000.

The suspect has denied altering the dates, but Majewski says Police have video of him cashing the checks.

Police say Kane has an office in East Providence, and has operated fund-raising campaigns for several years under different names.

The suspect will be arraigned Thursday in Fall River District Court.
