Real Life Hannibal Lectar – New York City Cop Accused of Plot to Torture and Eat Victims

It's difficult to imagine Thomas Harris' series of horror novels, adapted to film, bringing Hannibal Lecter any closer to life than the silver screen! But, it's a sad sign of the times when Gilberto Valle, a NYC police officer, used his twisted fetishes and police database to plot to torture women, slowly cook them and then eat their body parts!

He cataloged nearly 100 women, saying he was thinking of tying their bodies "onto some kind of apparatus...cook her over low heat, keep her alive as long as possible" and eating their remains! This is beyond my comprehension that a split personality like that has gone undetected!
