Patrick Announces New Academic Building For UMass Dartmouth
Another new building is being planned for UMass Dartmouth.
Governor Deval Patrick on Thursday announced his administration was setting aside $55 million for a new academic building on campus.
The exact site of the building has yet to be determined.
Officials say the building is needed to meet the needs of a growing student body. Just under 10,000 students currently attend UMass Dartmouth. That number is expected to grow to about 12,000 in the next few years.
