Parents Medications Accidentally Poisoning Children
Parents are being reminded of the danger from prescription medications in the hands of children. A new report from Safe Kids Worldwide says over 67,000 children are taken to the emergency room every year because they accidentally took prescription meds. That figure is up 30% over the past decade. In many cases, the children are taking adult medications left on a counter, in a purse, or even on the floor. Health experts are asking parents and those who care for children to be very aware and place medications out of reach and in child proof containers.
