The stars of the Buttonwood Park Zoo have some new additions to their habitat.

Students from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design spent the last semester designing and constructing toys for elephants Emily and Ruth.

The elephants were introduced to the toys on Friday, which include a popcorn dispensing log, a tire slinky, and a pacyderm-sized xylophone.

Stephen Russell is a student in the Toys for Elephants class, and tells WBSM News the class kept the jumbo toys fairly simple....

Emily and Ruth inspected the toys on Friday, and are becoming better acquainted with their uses.
