New Bedford Bank Robbed

A North End New Bedford Bank is robbed Wednesday night.

New Bedford Police say the Citizens Bank inside the Stop and Shop on Kings Highway was robbed just before 7pm when the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money. He escaped with an undetermined amount of money, most likely to a waiting vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'7" with a medium build.

Police say of the past four bank robberies in the city, all have led to arrests.
