New Attorney General Pleased With Easing Of Tensions In Baltimore
New U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch is condemning Monday's riots in Baltimore as "senseless acts of violence."
In remarks at the Justice Department, Lynch said the riots were a grave danger to the community and counterproductive to the goal of developing a respectful conversation about the way law enforcement officers interact with the residents they serve and protect.
Lynch said she was pleased to see tensions have eased in Baltimore and that members of the community are coming together to clean up the city.
The first female African-American AG asked the nation to keep the people of Baltimore in their prayers.
