Knifepoint Robbery In New Bedford

Police are investigating following an armed robbery in New Bedford.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that 8:45 a.m. Monday a man walked into the Cumberland Farms at 2012 Acushnet Ave., grabbed a can of Lysol, and brought it to the counter.

As the clerk was ringing it up the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk wasn't harmed.

The suspect is described as a White male, around 50 years of age, wearing glasses a black t-shirt with a green shamrock and red shorts.
