An insurance mix-up is to blame for the three-week closure of the Fort Taber/Fort Rodman Military Museum.

Museum Vice President Bob Bromley says the building that houses the museum also houses the Low Tide Yacht Club, and both organizations have shared insurance policies for a number of years.

However, during the renewal process in December, the museum's name was not included on the general liability policy --- an error that was not confirmed until September 15, prompting closure of the museum.

Bromley says a local insurance company has finally come through, and as of 8:30am Tuesday morning the museum has general liability insurance.

The museum opens to the public at 11am on Tuesdays. It's open daily from 1-4pm. Admission is free.
