Fall River Homicide Investigation

Fall River Police and the Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a man was killed early New Years Day.

Gregg Miliote, a spokesman with the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, says that at 1:17 a.m. officers responded to the intersection of Albert Street and Huard Street over a report that a male had been shot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and Miliote says his identity can't be released at this time.

The investigation is active and ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Fall River Police's Major Crimes Division at 508-324-2796.
