Hundreds of parishioners in the Fall River Diocese marched for world peace Monday night in Fall River.  The marchers departed from St. Mary's Cathedral, carrying candles, reciting prayers and singing hymns, and walked the half mile to St. Anne's Church to celebrate a Mass for Peace.

Theresa Covella of Fall River has taken part in the procession for several years now as a way to display her faith.

Father Greg Mathias, the Vicar-General of the Fall River Diocese, led the Mass at St. Anne's.  He's astounded by the number of people, young and old, taking part in the procession each year....

The Procession and Mass for Peace has been held annually in the diocese since 1975.
