Dartmouth’s Todman Gets Second Shot At Playoff Playing Time

Former Dartmouth High School star running back Jordan Todman will be back in action this afternoon, as his Pittsburgh Steelers battle it out with the Denver Broncos to see who will play the New England Patriots next Sunday in the AFC Championship game.

While Todman, who was signed by the team just prior to the start of the regular season, didn't see much action in the back field this year, the loss of DeAngelo Williams caused the fourth year pro to be fluxed into duty in the team's wild card round game last week.

When he got the chance, though, the former Otto Graham Award winner and Dartmouth High School single season touchdown leader played well.

On 11 carries, Todman scampered for 65 yards. Yes, that's not a breathtaking stat, but for a guy who only carried the ball four times in the regular season, that's a pretty solid output..

In fact, when you combine Todman's numbers with the numbers of his backfield mate, Fitzgerald Toussaint, the two helped give the team somewhat of a balance in the absence of their top running options.

It's unclear what Todman's role will be today in Denver, but it seems safe to assume an opportunity similar to the one from last week on tap for the 25-year-old. It's possible that he could be an even bigger factor in the game plan as well, with the absence of top wide receiver Antonio Brown (Concussion) and the multitude of injuries quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is dealing with in his throwing arm.

Whatever his role is, its still awesome to see a local guy play on the big stage. Check out Todman today at 4:30 pm, on CBS.
