The Brayton Point coal plant in Somerset has been sold to a private equity firm. The "Boston Business Journal" reports Dominion is taking a bath on the deal, having recently poured a billion dollars into environmental upgrades. The 15-hundred megawatt plant, along with two plants in Illinois, reportedly landed Dominion about 650-million after taxes. Energy Capital Partners picks up the plant as coal power in Massachusetts is on the decline.
