Boston Police Officer Shot; Condition Not Disclosed
A Boston police officer has been shot and taken to a city hospital.
A department spokeswoman says the officer was shot at about 10:30 a.m. Friday in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.
The officer was taken to Boston Medical Center. The officer's condition and name were not immediately released.
Commissioner William Evans is expected to hold a news conference at the hospital later Friday.
A suspect is in custody.
No other information was immediately available.
