Fall River police are looking for a suspect in connection with Wednesday's robbery of the Bay Coast Bank at 335 Stafford Road.

Detective J.D. Costa says a man entered the bank around 12:40 p.m., told a teller he had a weapon, and then demanded money.

The suspect then fled the bank after being handed an undisclosed sum of money.

After conducting an investigation police identified the suspect as 37-year-old Steven Viera and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Viera's last known residence was in the Maple Gardens Housing Development, he is also known to have to New Bedford.
