New Bedford Police have arrested a man in connection with the robbery of a Chinese food delivery driver Sunday night.

According to Detective Captain Steve Vicente, the robbery took place at 122 David Street in New Bedford, when the 38-year-old male driver was delivering Chinese food from the Grand Wok restaurant to that location.

He was confronted by two masked males dressed in black. One of the men struck the driver on the head, with the pair taking the Chinese food and an undetermined amount of cash.

Police have since arrested 18-year-old Andrew Brum of Jouvette Street in New Bedford on a probation violation. Brum is charged with armed robbery while masked.

The investigation is ongoing.
