A New Bedford businessman knows all too well what victims of the Boston Marathon Bombings are going through.

Matt Hebert lost a leg below his knee in 1994, following an accident while serving as a cadet on the Mass. Maritime Acadamy training ship.

He now owns and operates Precision Orthotic and Prosthetic Technology on Pope's Island and works with many people who have lost limbs either because of injury or illness.

Hebert says an upbeat attitude is everything in dealing with the loss of a limb.

He said he was angry when the Marathon Bombings took place, knowing what the survivors will have to face for the rest of their lives.
