Acushnet Dog Attack Seriously Injures Woman at Kennel

A woman has been medflighted to a Boston-area hospital after reportedly being attacked by a dog in Acushnet this morning.

Acushnet Police tell WBSM News the attack took place before 8am this morning at Chloe's Countryside Kennels on Leonard Street when a 44-year-old female employee tried to break up a fight between a larger dog and a smaller dog. That's when the bigger dog turned it's focus to the woman and attacked her. She suffered serious injuries to her upper right arm.

The woman was transported to the nearby Ford Middle School, where a med-flight helicopter landed, and then flew the woman to a Boston trauma center. The woman was alert as she was being transported.
