Four people were injured following a Sunday night rollover crash on I-495 South.

Massachusetts State Police say that at around 6:45 p.m. troopers from the Bourne and Middleboro Barracks responded to reports of a single car crash near Exit 2 at the Wareham/Rochester line.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2004 GMC Envoy rolled over and the passenger, identified as a 41-year-old man from Wareham, was ejected from the vehicle suffering serious injuries.

The driver, identified as a 49-year-old woman from Wareham, also suffered serious injuries.

Both were transported by MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital.

Two children in the vehicle were transported to Tobey Hospital with minor injuries.

The right lane of I-495 and the ramps at Exit 2 were closed so MedFlight helicopters could land.

All lanes were reopened at roughly 7:50 p.m. and the Exit 2 ramps reopened at roughly 8:30 p.m.

Wareham Fire personnel assisted at the scene.

State Police say the incident remains under investigation
