“Young” Blood Rejuvenates Old Mice
It seems humans will always be searching for the fountain of youth. New research reveals that injecting an old mouse with the blood of younger mice has a rejuvenating effect.
Researchers found after receiving the blood the older mice got stronger, exercised longer and performed better mentally compared to before the injection. Researchers say the "young" mice were equivalent to people in their 20s, while the "old" mice were equivalent to people in their 60s.
The researchers say they are now trying to figure out what is in the blood that makes it rejuvenating, and say, "Don't try this at home."
